New Management Company

After careful consideration, the Montrose Memorial Hospital, Inc. Board of Directors elected to contract with Community Hospital Consulting, Inc. (CHC) which is a nonprofit management company who shares a similar vision with Montrose Memorial Hospital (MMH).

Members of the Board of Directors looked for leadership from a management company who knows the importance of maintaining the independence and financial viability of the hospital. The Board will retain all authority and control over business, policies, operation and assets of the hospital.  “We are excited about CHC and their ability to make us an even better hospital. The Board feels it is a great fit for the MMH culture and their enthusiasm and expertise will bring a boost to our hospital,” said Dr. Kjersten Davis, MMHI Board Chair.

MMH has had a management agreement with Quorum Health Resources, LLC (QHR) since 1989. The Board members elected to review other opportunities that were available in the areas of management and shared services and submitted a Request for Proposals to interested parties. Six companies responded and after extensive interviews, Community Hospital Consulting, Inc. was chosen. The mission of CHC is; To guide, support, and enhance the mission of community hospitals and healthcare providers, and their vision is; To be the nation’s preeminent resource in advancing community healthcare. In addition to their mission and vision, one of their top priorities is preserving and protecting independent community hospitals like MMH.

The Board expects a seamless transition and looks forward to the new opportunities this partnership will bring.
